Four-axis CNC machining center advantages

The four-axis CNC machining center adds one rotating shaft to the three-axis, which is a 360-degree rotation of the horizontal plane, but cannot be rotated at a high speed. The five-axis is to add a rotating shaft to the four-axis to form a 360-degree rotation of the upright surface, but it cannot rotate at a high speed. Therefore, the four-axis and five-axis are different in structure and rotation range, so that they have different application ranges.

 

The four-axis linkage generally refers to the machining center, so it is controlled by the linkage of the CNC milling machine or the engraving machine control system within the range of the four-axis CNC machining center. In terms of implementation conditions, it is required to have four controllable axes, and the four axes can perform interpolation motion control at the same time, or can be controlled at the same time. It should be noted that the speed of motion when interlocking is the speed of synthesis, not the motion control of each.

 

The four-axis machining center is generally three axes of X, Y, and Z plus a rotating shaft. The rotating shaft can be an A-axis, a B-axis, or a C-axis. Normally, it is an A-axis that rotates around the X-axis. Or the B axis that rotates around the Y axis, depending on the mounting position and installation form of the axis on the CNC machine. The four-axis CNC machining center has the same number of axes as the ordinary four-axis machining center, except that the machining method uses CNC machining.

 

The advantages of the four-axis CNC machining center are: it can reduce the number of tooling, and it does not require the use of complicated tooling on parts with complicated shapes. The processing quality is stable and the processing accuracy is high. The same applies to small batch and multi-variety processing. In addition, for some complex surfaces that are difficult to machine in conventional processing, it is also possible to use and even process some unobservable processing locations.
