From the perspective of appearance, considering that the stainless steel is strong in plasticity, the chips are not easily discharged from the workpiece. In order to make the stainless steel discharge more smoothly during the processing, it is necessary to select a sharper groove type to ensure the strength of the tool. Larger, the cutting force is reduced, making the processing more brisk, more conducive to chip discharge, while reducing the possibility of built-up edge, thus extending tool life.

 

Secondly, in the processing of stainless steel, in order to avoid premature friction between the flank and the workpiece, under the premise of ensuring the rigidity of the blade, the relief angle can be appropriately increased to improve the service life of the blade. Of course, how to weigh the relationship between blade life and angle, groove type, and ultimately need to combine the processing requirements of the parts, in the case of meeting the requirements of the part process, to select the appropriate blade.
